First Lady PaceShirley Pace is a true renaissance woman. Through her pursuits in the creative arts, song, politics, education and chiefly the Word of God, First Lady Shirley Anne Pace has been blessed with more than 30 years of experience, training and wisdom in the ministry.

Gifted with a gracious, engaging and attractive personality as well as an alto voice that is truly an instrument, she has acquired the God-esteem and unshakable faith that translates to encouragement and inspiration for women of all ages.

In her early years the Lord began to create a myriad of opportunities to utilize Shirley’s vocal gift in churches, conventions, symphony halls, seminars and local productions. While her husband, Milton Pace, served as Minister of Music for several local DFW churches, she achieved acclaim for singing and directing a number of choirs herself. As their gifts made room for them, together they received widespread recognition for their musical ministry work.

Recently upon presenting the sold out “PACE FAMILY CONCERT 2010” at Bass Performance Hall, a Fort Worth Star Telegram article acclaimed Milton and Shirley Pace as Fort Worth’s First Gospel Music Couple sensation. Other news articles lists Shirley as one of the most influential African American women in the Fort Worth Dallas area.

She is community and politically-conscious, staying abreast of the political landscape locally as well as on a national level, consistently participating through the voter registration organizing process and passionately encourages others to do the same.

With her transparent and often humorous delivery, God has equipped Shirley Pace to deliver help and hope through the Word of God that rings true in a day of false notes and stands firm in the face of adversity. She also offers a blend of administrative and operational strengths with one of her proudest achievements being helping her husband create Milton & Shirley Pace Concert Ministries, Incorporated, designed to help children develop and showcase their talents in the gospel music genre.

She is co-founder of the Saintsville Baptist Church, Inc., founder and director of the Saintsville Daycare Center and Academy. She has served on numerous boards including the Women’s Haven and YWCA. She is a member of The Baptist Ministers Wives and Widows Union of Fort Worth, The Fort Worth Chapter of Links, Inc. and is the Women’s Ministry Director at the Saintsville Cathedral of Fort Worth.

Married to her best friend 39 years, Pastor Milton Pace, they have three children and eleven grandchildren and a host of adopted children.

First Lady Pace firmly believes the largest portion of her calling is to “make His name glorious” wherever the opportunity presents itself and she can be found at any time doing exactly that.
